How to Use the MYOB Accounting Link
Overview
Use the accounting link in Simpro Premium to transfer invoices, payments, customers, suppliers and contractors from Simpro Premium to MYOB. Data can only be transferred from MYOB to Simpro Premium during the MYOB initial import. Learn more in How to Import MYOB Data to Simpro Premium.
This accounting link can be used with both MYOB AccountRight Live and MYOB Essentials.
After transferring transactions, you can view the transaction history. Learn more in How to View MYOB Transaction History.
In order to view content or perform actions referred to in this article you need to have the appropriate permissions enabled in your security group. Go to System > Setup > Security Groups and access your security group to update your permissions. The relevant security group tab and specific permissions for this article can be found here:

To view and search for Simpro Premium transactions to be exported to MYOB, go to Utilities > MYOB > Transfer. Your transactions are then organised according to the transaction type.
Click Collapse All to close the transaction type tables and view only the headings, number of transactions per type, and footer options. To view all transactions within each transaction type table, click Expand All.
You can also filter your transactions by selecting from the following Search Types, then clicking Search:
Transaction Name / Number |
Filter transactions by the Transaction Name / Number and the Transaction Type. You can enter an invoice or payment number, or customer, supplier, or contractor name in the Transaction Name / Number field. |
Date Range | Filter transactions according to the Date Range in which they were created, as well as the Transaction Type. |
All Customers, Suppliers, and Contractors | View only customers, suppliers and contractors to be exported to MYOB. |
If a transaction is not yet exported to MYOB, it has a red N in the Exported column. If it has successfully posted to MYOB, it has a green Y in the column. Transactions that have successfully exported only appear if you search for them using the filter options.

New transactions created in Simpro Premium appear in the accounting link if they are able to be transferred to MYOB.
To transfer data to MYOB:
- Go to Utilities > MYOB.
- If you are not connected to your MYOB account, click Connect to MYOB and log in / click Authorise. You are the directed back to Simpro Premium and the Transfer tab appears.
- Your MYOB Essentials account must be the latest version to connect to Simpro Premium. Learn more in Accounting Link Troubleshooting.
- In the Transfer tab, select the transactions that you need to send to MYOB.
- To send all, select Select All at the bottom of the page.
- Click Send Selected.
All transactions sent from Simpro Premium to MYOB are marked as Tax Inclusive.
You cannot export transactions through the accounting link when using Incognito mode in Google Chrome.
Sometimes you might need to mark something as exported without actually exporting it, usually to prevent duplicates in MYOB.
To mark transactions as exported:
- Select the check boxes for each transaction.
- Click Mark as exported.
- Click OK.
